## How to Get Started

**Fill out our form** to connect with us and learn more about the steps you need to take to become an orthotics and prosthetics student. An OPT faculty or staff member will reach out to you shortly in case you have any questions.

## Did You Know...

- JJC's accredited Orthotics and Prosthetics program is 1 of only 4 at a community college in the country
- JJC OPT students were featured [in a March 2019 Chicago Tribune article](https://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/daily-southtown/ct-sta-jjc-dog-prosthetic-st-0303-story.html) after they created prosthetic limbs for Woodie, an amputee dog
- JJC's program will prepare you to be an OPT tech - a career that only requires an associate degree. Want to go beyond that? JJC can help you transfer so you can earn your master's and become [an orthotist or prosthetist](https://www.bls.gov/ooh/healthcare/orthotists-and-prosthetists.htm)
